IPOLICY NETWORKS ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR MICROSOFT NETWORK ACCESS PROTECTION

Fremont, Calif., August 29, 2006 – iPolicy Networks, provider of next-generation network security solutions, today announced it will support Network Access Protection (NAP) technology from Microsoft. Network Access Protection (NAP) is a policy enforcement technology built into the Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows Server code name “Longhorn” operating systems that allows customers to better protect network assets by enforcing compliance with network health policies. Together, iPolicy and Microsoft will work to help protect user desktops, servers and high-speed networks in real-time against spread of malware and ensure end-to-end security policy compliance.

iPolicy is recognized as one of the industry's most 'visionary' network security solutions, designed to perform deep inspection and secure high-speed enterprise and carrier network environments against current and emerging threats. With this new initiative, iPolicy Networks will integrate its network security solutions, based on its Single Pass Architecture, with Microsoft Network Access Protection. The approach will provide enterprises, educational institutions, financial services, government customers and managed service providers with additional, valuable protection for endpoints throughout their network, and also enable enforcement of network-wide consistent security. Additionally, the integration will decrease the risk of malware propagating through PCs with remote or external access via private or public networks when protected by iPolicy and Microsoft Network Access Protection.

“Microsoft is committed to collaborating with leading network security vendors like iPolicy to deliver comprehensive end-to-end security,” said Mike Schutz, group product manager for Security and Access Products at Microsoft. “Managing access to network resources is increasingly critical for corporations of all sizes, and our Network Access Protection enables customers to enforce access policy across their organization and better protect their IT infrastructure. iPolicy's support for Network Access Protection is further validation of our approach for this central business requirement.”

iPolicy's integrated network security solution integrates multiple threat prevention functions like intrusion prevention, stateful firewall, and content filtering – all in a single pass deep inspection architecture – complemented by profile-based central management with support for advanced security virtualization. With iPolicy"s products, network security managers can maintain the performance of their high-speed distributed or virtualized networks from 100 megabits to 4 gigabits per second, while mitigating DoS/DDoS attacks, blocking worms and Trojans, stopping blended threats and preventing undesirable content from entering the network – attacks that readily penetrate conventional firewalls.

"iPolicy's plan to integrate its innovative network security platforms with endpoint control solutions delivers end-to-end security for high-speed networks," said Gajraj Singh, vice president of marketing, iPolicy Networks. "Working with Microsoft, iPolicy can further ensure that the risk to corporate and carrier networks through remote and local access is minimized. iPolicy will further augment the protection provided by Network Access Protection through in-line network-level enforcement for Network Access Protection compliance and also by preventing threats from infected systems while enforcing consistent security policies across the business or carrier network."

The iPolicy Networks security solution offers world-class protection while greatly reducing acquisition, installation, management and ongoing maintenance costs compared to competing solutions. Over the past year, iPolicy Networks has remained true to its heritage of technical innovation and product excellence with the launch this spring of iPolicy Intrusion Prevention Firewall Release 2.5, extending its market reach with an easy-to-use solution for enterprise, carriers and service provider networks. Release 2.5 was recently proven, by leading independent test house Miercom, as the most scalable threat prevention solution in the industry, for mid-large distributed networks of up to 600 integrated security appliances, and large-scale virtualization of up to 1800 Security Domains (virtualized security devices).
